How’s everyone enjoying the Easter hols? If you aren’t eating chocolate for breakfast for the entirety of the four-day weekend, you’re doing it wrong, amiright? I’ve decided to start sharing my fave outfits every week on WIY, so here’s the first of many.
Outfit of the week: new shoes for the Easter hols
I love a classic, crisp white shirt so I’m really enjoying the current trend of shirts with frills, bells, whistles etc. I think they’re best worn with a pair of plain black or blue denim skinny jeans.
Sophisticated, bang on trend and you can wear them for anything from Easter lunch with the fam (I’m missing my crazy Scottish Easter Family Eggstravaganza this year!), cocktails with the gals or fancy Friday at the office.
And can we just take a minute to appreciate my new shoes? A year ago I would have shuddered away from an embroidered mule but now I’m like, LOOK HOW PRETTY. I discovered that the trick to stopping them from sliding off all the time is to buy them in a size smaller than usual. Worked a treat for me, and I only had to hang on to Tom’s arm at the very end of our day out. I reckon that was more to do with the espresso martinis than the shoes…
My oversized white shirt with tie sleeves is from Zara, my jeans are Topshop, bag is a H&M find and I got the mules in Primark!
I’ve found some similar mules below, in case they’re sold out in Primark.
I wore this to go for massive burgers at a new place in Sunderland (it might not even be new, it’s just new since I last lived here), finally watch Beauty and the Beast at the cinema (fantastic, right?) and drink cocktails in Revs.
We came home and spent the night making cocktails with all the weird leftover spirits we have in the garage from pre-drinks of days gone by. Cherry vodka, Disaranno, lime and ginger beer is my new tipple for life.
