April Favourites

This month’s faves post comes to you from my mama’s living room in Douglas, Isle of Man. It’s SO nice to be home and get looked after!

As usual, my monthly recap is coming soon so be sure to subscribe so you don’t miss it. For now, here are a few things that made April that little bit lovelier for me.

April faves

Lush Oatifix face mask

Between the change in water, the long flight back to the UK from Dubai and transitioning from spending my days in an air-conned office to a central-heated house, my skin was really dehydrated and I felt like my make-up was just chilling atop gross dead skin. I popped in to Lush to buy a gift and came out with their Oatifix mask and it worked wonders! The smell of bananas, oats, honey and walnuts is lovely, even if the mask itself is a bit messy. A tiny pot has also lasted a fair few applications, so it’s a good buy at £7.25 for 75g.

Chi Chi London top

I tend to go straight to the same four websites when I feel the urge to blow some money on cute clothes, but I’ve been flirting with other websites and there’s some lovely pieces on Chi Chi London – including the lace body pictured above. Their party dresses are perfect for weddings, and you get 10% off your first order with code HELLO10.

Flamingo phone case

If you haven’t trawled the entire stock on coconut-lane.com yet, where have you even been? I finally upgraded to a better iPhone a few weeks back and once I did all the boring set up stuff, my first port of call was this website for a new phone case that showed my personality.

Oh, and you can get 20% off using the code ‘dannielle20‘. You’re welcome.

Embroidered mules

You might have spotted these in my OOTW a few weeks back, but I’m putting them in my Monthly Faves because I just love them. I got mine in Primark but I’ve seen similar ones here.

Cooking with Gousto

Gousto cooking subscription box review

Gousto is a pretty cool concept for anyone looking to spice things up in the kitchen. I feel like I always cook the same things for dinner (garlicky mushroom and spinach pasta, I love you), and it can get boring. Gousto lets you pick meals you like the look of online, and they’ll send you a box with all of the ingredients you need and an easy-to-follow recipe card. It’s like a cookery subscription box service, and who wouldn’t enjoy a big box full of tastiness landing on your doorstep?

We had the sticky and chilli beef burritos and were so impressed. It was easy to make and the ingredients we received made so much that it served both of us, plus I had plenty left for lunch the next day. It also inspired me to try making a chicken version myself.

Gousto have given me a discount code to share so you can get £20 discount on each of your 1st and 2nd orders, on any sized box, meaning the 1st & 2nd boxes could cost £7.49 each. The discount code is TORNADO. Happy cooking!
